About The Position

The Radiology Director will exercise overall supervision of the department, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating employee performance according to hospital policies. This role involves identifying and resolving departmental problems, managing assigned staff, and completing established competencies. The Director will also develop and manage the annual department operating and capital budgets, direct daily operations, and oversee staff performance, including hiring, firing, and discipline.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited Imaging Program
BLS
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
State license if required
5 years technical experience
2 years management experience
5+ to 7 years experience
Management Experience Required
Associate's Degree

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master's degree
Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA)

Responsibilities

Thorough knowledge of Radiology Departmental functions
Maintains the performance of the operational aspects of a designated unit(s) while providing mentoring and leadership support to the unit(s) staff
Delegates appropriate tasks to appropriate personnel, consistent with legal and professional guidelines and departmental standards.
Demonstrates knowledge and educates staff concerning the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the unit, department, and hospital.
Identifies appropriate internal controls of department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
Performs related duties as required.
