About The Position

Perform duties as a CT Technologist including confirming patient identity, coordinating with physicians for diagnostic imaging, preparing patients for scans, and ensuring proper documentation and patient safety. This role requires maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

• HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position)
• Two (2) Years' Experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC
• Assure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
