About The Position
Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This position is for a Radiology Attendant in the Radiology Department at Texas Health HEB. The department is a full-service Radiology department that includes CT, Nuc Med, MRI, Ultrasound (OB/GYN, vascular and procedures included), and Radiology (portables, Fluoro and OR). It is a fast-paced, team-oriented, and diverse environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- No experience required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
Nice To Haves
- PCT, Transporter, or medical background experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions
- Assesses and recognizes the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions
- Greets and escorts patient, using two forms of ID and assists with time-out procedures
- Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and assists with patient monitoring
- Demonstrates knowledge of the location and purpose of equipment
- Operates, cares for and cleans ancillary equipment
- Documents ancillary equipment malfunction
- Cleans equipment and room to sanitary standards
- Assists with daily, weekly, and monthly equipment checklist
- Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
- Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email
- Identifies, troubleshoots and initiates quality improvement
- Manages time and reprioritizes as necessary
- Displays proper phone etiquette
