About The Position

In this role, you will provide assistance with direct patient care in the Radiology Department, but will not administer ionizing radiation, intravenous contrast media, and/or prescribed pharmacy medications. You will perform specialized tasks under the supervision of technologists and/or radiologists. Duties include all or some of the following: patient reception by phone registration and/or registration confirmation, appointment and procedure/lab scheduling, and related clinical information management. You will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to interact with the patients in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age and developmental level of the involved patient population.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
Verification of your legal right to work in the United States
Health screening and immunization review
Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience
Background checks including criminal, urine drug screen and MVR where required.

Nice To Haves

Previous training as a Radiology Assistant
1 year of experience in a related medical environment.
