About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care and support, assisting with radiologic procedures and workflow, and performing departmental and communication tasks. The Radiology Assistant Tech will greet and assist patients and families, obtain vital signs, help with dressing/undressing, transport or ambulate patients, ensure comfort, and maintain a clean, stocked, and safe environment. They will also support technologists, nurses, and radiologists with patient preparation, questionnaires, positioning, verifying orders, gathering required pre-procedure information, performing data entry, coordinating patient flow, and adhering to radiation and MRI safety standards. Additionally, the role includes handling stocking, supply checks, room/equipment cleaning, CREED checklists, errands, and responding to inquiries from clinicians, staff, and patients both in person and by phone.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or obtain within six months of hire
