About The Position

Launch your telecom career with MAC. No tower experience? No problem. We’ll train you, step by step, to become a certified Tower Technician, with a clear path to higher levels, leadership, and specialized skills. This role involves learning to troubleshoot carrier issues, perform upgrades, and grounding on towers and rooftops. You will also support rigging and materials, maintain clean, safe sites, and complete photo/test closeouts. Participation in daily safety briefings and structured on-the-job training is expected.

Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fitness and comfort working outdoors
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
  • Ability to climb 200+ feet (after training)

Responsibilities

  • Learn to troubleshoot carrier issues, perform upgrades, and grounding on towers and rooftops
  • Support rigging and materials

  • Participate in structured on-the-job training
  • Obtain all required MAC and industry certifications within specified timelines (e.g., Authorized Climber/Rescuer, RF Awareness, First Aid/CPR)
  • Maintain compliance with ongoing training requirements, including refresher courses and new technology modules
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Ability to meet physical demands (lifting 50–75 lbs, working outdoors, climbing once certified)
  • Maintain strong situational awareness and commitment to maintaining a hazard free job site
  • Demonstrate a team-first mindset
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, reporting issues, hazards, or uncertainties immediately
