About The Position

The CT/MRI/Angio Technologist is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care in the CT/MRI/Angio department and throughout the organization. Produce high quality scans/images using proper positioning and technique. Work closely with the Radiology Nurse and Radiologist. Utilize assigned functions within the Radiology Information System to complete paperwork and to document contrast media reactions. Review patient's chart for information of physician's orders and follow written and/or verbal protocols and instructions. Work closely with the Radiology Nurse and Radiologist performing biopsy and drainage and all other procedures. Communicate equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to the appropriate supervisor. Utilize hospital computer systems to enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and credits. Educate patients and families as requested regarding the exam, treatment, and outcome. Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel. Follow department, NRC, and State regulations for radiation safety to keep exposure "ALARA". Follow ACR Guidelines to maintain ACR Accreditation.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT registered or registry eligible
  • If registry eligible, applicant must be registered within 3 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a registered technologist is preferred
