About The Position

This position is for a Radiologist Technologist at Atrium Health Greensboro - OP Imaging, located within the Greensboro Medical Plaza Northwest - Imaging Services department. It is a PRN (as needed) role, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The technologist will perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, document patient history, confirm patient identification, prepare and administer contrast media, and consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary. The role requires selecting and operating equipment with correct anatomic positioning skills and maintaining appropriate records. Candidates must also demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles relevant to diverse patient populations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • BLS required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
