Southeast New Mexico College (SENMC) is seeking a Temporary Radiological Control Technician Trainer to support the Department of Energy (DOE) mission. This role is crucial for meeting the demand for technicians within the DOE system, including the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP). The trainer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs using a systematic approach. This includes creating various training materials such as job-task lists, on-the-job training qualification cards, qualification standards, classroom materials, and knowledge tests, all while ensuring compliance with DOE standards and procedures. The position requires developing curriculum that promotes safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, and involves performing equipment walk-downs to verify operability. Collaboration with functional managers, technical authorities, subject matter experts, and field workers is essential to ensure the curriculum is appropriate for the students' training, qualification, and experience levels, maintaining a balance with the specific requirements for a Radiological Control Technician.
