About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist prepares for and performs standard x-ray examinations using x-ray equipment, proper technique, and positioning according to provider orders. The role also includes patient-care responsibilities such as taking vital signs and medical histories, performing blood draws, administering medication injections and vaccines, and assisting providers with medical procedures. The ideal candidate is energetic, eager to learn, positive, and passionate about patient care. This posting offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time opportunities. Prior Radiologic Technologist experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Current state Radiologic Technologist licensure.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

Operate required radiologic equipment in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Position patients and x-ray equipment to obtain the desired diagnostic image.
Use appropriate shielding protocols.
Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs and histories, and provide treatment as applicable.
Perform blood draws and administer medication injections and vaccines.
Prepare examination and treatment rooms; select, set up, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
Select the length and intensity of radiation exposure based on the individual patient or examination specifications.
Use CR and DR systems.
Examine images for density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
Send and store images.
Assist providers in medical procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
