About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic and procedural imaging to support physicians in a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and pain management clinic. This role is heavily focused on fluoroscopic guidance for interventional pain procedures, ensuring patient safety, imaging accuracy, and efficient case flow. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate provider needs in a procedural environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology required.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
  • Familiarity with PACS and EMR systems required.
  • Strong understanding of fluoroscopic anatomy and procedural imaging.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume procedural setting.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • High attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to anticipate provider needs and adapt quickly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • prior experience in pain management, fluoroscopy, or an ASC setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience with C-arm and procedural workflow is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fluoroscopy (C-arm) to support interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet injections, and radiofrequency ablations. Ensure accurate positioning and imaging to assist physicians with real-time procedural guidance. Anticipate physician needs to maintain efficient workflow and minimize procedure time while maintaining image quality and adhering to ALARA principles.
  • Perform X-ray imaging as ordered by providers and produce high-quality images for accurate interpretation and treatment planning. Upload and manage imaging in PACS in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to procedures and imaging. Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout exams and procedures while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment. Perform routine quality assurance checks, report malfunctions promptly, and maintain proper documentation of equipment logs and compliance standards. Assist with inventory management of radiology supplies.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols for patients and staff and ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards. Maintain accurate documentation of imaging, radiation exposure, and patient records.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and surgical team members to support efficient patient flow. Communicate effectively during procedures and participate in team meetings, process improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
