About The Position

Radiologic Technologist position at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, within the Radiology: Inpatient Xray department. This is a full-time role with benefits eligible status, working 36 hours per week on the 3rd shift. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $15,000 and relocation assistance of $5,000 for qualified candidates. The role involves performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting patient history, preparing and administering contrast media, consulting with physicians, and operating equipment with correct anatomic positioning skills.

Requirements

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS required
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
