About The Position

United Health Services is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to ensure accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. This role serves UHS employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, prioritizing activities that directly affect customer service. The primary department is Radiology at UHS Binghamton General Hospital, with a primary work shift of Night. The compensation range is $27.80 - $41.69 per hour, depending on experience. This position operates on a 7 days on/7 days off schedule with hours from 9am-8pm. Eligible new graduates may receive up to $15,000 in tuition forgiveness, and sign-on incentives of up to $10,000 are available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
New York State License as Radiologic Technologist or eligible
ARRT Registration

Nice To Haves

CPR certification within the first three months of hire.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians as well as providing all required documentation on requisition.
Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
Ensures proper safety procedures are met, and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.
