About The Position
United Health Services is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to ensure accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. This role serves UHS employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a priority on activities that directly affect customer service. The primary department is Radiology at UHS Binghamton General Hospital, with a primary work shift of Night. The compensation range is $27.80 - $41.69 per hour, depending on experience. This position operates on a 7 days on/7 days off schedule with hours from 9am-8pm. There are sign-on incentives available, including up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and potential for $15,000 in tuition forgiveness for eligible new graduates.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
- New York State License as Radiologic Technologist or eligible
- ARRT Registration
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification within the first three months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians as well as providing all required documentation on requisition.
- Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
- Ensures proper safety procedures are met, and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
- Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.
