About The Position

Salem Clinic is seeking a skilled X-ray and Fluoroscopy Technologist to join our cohesive healthcare team. This is a part-time, on-call opening at the Salem Clinic Main location. The role involves performing radiographic procedures at a technical and professional level, requiring competence, commitment, and initiative. The team operates seamlessly, with members taking turns in X-raying and collaborating effortlessly. Requirements

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (if applicable)
  • Current licensure by the State of Oregon in required modalities.
  • Certification in CPR / AED.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Medical terminology, computers, and typing experience.
  • Detail orientated and effective organizational skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, providers and the public.
  • Must be able to occasionally accommodate flexible hours and shifts pending department needs.
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, while keeping close attention to accuracy with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team participant.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic procedures at a technical and professional level not requiring constant supervision and direction.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures with competence, commitment, and initiative.
  • Prioritizes patient care and service above all other duties.
  • Assists patients with transportation needs when necessary.
  • Supports safety in the work environment.
  • Assures image quality before patient leaves the department.
  • Practices Universal Precautions.
  • Notifies department director of any concern, accidents, or incidents to any persons or equipment.
  • Maintains work area in clean, organized and well-stocked condition.
  • Produces diagnostic radiographs with less than an 8% repeat rate.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic studies as measured by feedback from consulting Radiologists and follow established scan protocols.
  • Scheduling mammograms, x-rays, bone densities, and minimal ultrasounds from work lists.
  • Perform Bone Density Exams as needed.
  • Accept delegated tasks from leadership
