Requirements

  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Two years radiology experience, upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Produce diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
  • Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
  • Deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
  • Utilize good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
  • Display competency performing procedures; follow every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc).
  • Always produce high quality films.
  • Accurately mark radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assure that patient information is clearly visible.
  • Competent in two or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma).
  • Understand the interrelation and operate the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of errors, duplicate orders, dictation, etc.
  • Assist Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians.
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete hospital/department forms per protocol i.e. incident reports, side/site forms, etc.
  • Complete exam(s) in Radnet, enter notes or other required documentation into Radnet, DR or other computer systems.
