About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist to perform routine radiology and mammography services. This role involves maintaining equipment, ensuring patient confidentiality, and assisting medical staff with various duties. The ideal candidate will be licensed, certified, and possess at least three years of experience.
Requirements
- Fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
- Licensed by the state of West Virginia.
- Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
- At least three or more years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine radiology and mammography services.
- Maintaining radiology and mammography equipment.
- Independently performing all radiographic and mammographic procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of medical information.
- Notifying the clinical director or physician of any preliminary abnormalities.
- Providing assistance to medical staff duties such as scanning of medical records, maintaining radiology badges, monitoring sanitation, and assisting in Improving Organization Plan.
- Explaining appropriate instructions to patients who undergo radiology procedures.
- Maintaining mammography accreditation and related standards.
- Evaluating radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs.
- Ensuring inspections for defects of gloves, aprons, and shields are performed twice per year and signed off.
