About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist I-VI plays a critical role in the healthcare system by performing diagnostic imaging examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Requirements

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent credential.
Valid state licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the United States.
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic positioning techniques.
Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and understanding imaging protocols is essential for capturing diagnostic-quality images.
Strong communication skills are used daily to explain procedures to patients and collaborate with medical staff.
Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards help minimize radiation exposure and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Nice To Haves

Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy.
Additional certifications in specialized imaging techniques or modalities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other imaging techniques according to established protocols.
Prepare and position patients accurately to obtain the best possible images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, self, and coworkers from unnecessary exposure.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to review images for quality and assist in diagnostic interpretation as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
Educate patients about the imaging process and address any concerns or questions they may have.
Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advances in radiologic technology and best practices.
