The Radiologic Technologist will perform all radiologic exams and other special/fluoroscopic procedures within the scope of their license. They will ensure radiation safety by following the principle of ALARA, determine the most suitable anatomic position and shielding of patients, and instruct and prepare patients for imaging examinations. The role involves reviewing and processing images, administering contrast agents if required, and screening patients for contraindications. Patient safety measures, including ensuring the right patient, right dose/rate, and right procedure/site/side, are paramount. The technologist must also complete annual educational requirements and maintain compliance with all state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
