About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for serving a full schedule of patients in a high volume, highly specialized, outpatient orthopedic clinic. Maintaining focus on providing a superior level of customer service and delivering unwavering, exceptional quality care is a must. We are currently hiring PRN Radiology Technologists (X-Ray Techs). These roles offer a very flexible schedule for up to 29 hours a week. PRN techs may work at any of our 5 central Indiana orthopedic clinic locations depending on staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), required
  • Current certification with the ARRT and the State of Indiana, required
  • Knowledge of computerized radiology (CR), digital radiography (DR), and PACS system, required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience using Electronic Medical Records systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis to obtain optimum image quality with lowest amount of radiation.
  • Work one-on-one with patient to complete x-rays that are ordered.
  • Positions patient and adjusts equipment for performing images following procedures established by Forté Sports Medicine & Orthopedics.
  • Follows prescribed safety standards for operating radiology equipment.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA and policies of Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics.
  • Examines images for film properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion
