About The Position

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the team at our Lake Region Walk-In Health Center. This position is responsible for coding and entering charges for CHC physician practices and physicians under billing agreements. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current state radiologic technologist.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to perform basic clinical support tasks, such as obtaining vital signs and assisting with patient care.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced walk-in environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by providers, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with safety standards and clinic protocols.
  • Follow all radiation safety guidelines, including proper shielding and exposure techniques.
  • Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, and ensure appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and provide clear instructions during exams.
  • Maintain imaging quality control and ensure proper transmission of images to the radiology system for radiologist interpretation.
  • Assist with clinical patient care activities including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available for patient visits.
  • Assist providers with procedures, treatments, and patient flow within the clinic.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and patient care areas according to infection control standards.
  • Communicate effectively with providers and clinic staff to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide clerical or operational support as needed to maintain patient flow in a fast-paced walk-in setting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
