About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist, Per Diem position involves performing all requested exams in accordance with the current filming standard practice manual. Variations from standard practice must have documented explanations. The technologist is responsible for routinely producing high-quality images using proper exposure values and positioning, ensuring images have two visible borders of coning. The role requires completing work in a timely and orderly manner to maintain patient flow and assisting the supervisor in coordinating procedures. This is a part-time position with rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, and overnights, with mandatory on-call and holiday rotations. Experience with C-arm and Fluoroscopy procedures is mandatory.

Requirements

• Florida CRT License is required.
• ARRT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Graduate from a Radiology Program is required.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders on patient chart for proper procedure to be performed.
• Verifies patient identification before proceeding with any procedure.
• Performs all requested exams in accordance with the current filming standard practice manual.
• Ensures all variations of filming from standard practice have a documented explanation.
• Routinely produces high-quality images using proper exposure values and positioning.
• Ensures images routinely have two visible borders of coning.
• Completes all requested work in a timely and orderly manner to maintain proper patient flow with other staff technologists.
• Assists supervisor or designee in coordinating procedures properly.
