Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited radiological technology program.
• A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology & LA state licensed in Radiology by LSRT
• New graduates may present a temporary LSRT license.
• Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with patients of all types and ages.
• Must possess strong guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe manipulation of radiographic equipment, positioning of patients, use of radiation protection devices, selection of technical factors necessary to produce optimum quality radiographs, the tracking of patient studies and PACS acquisition of the study performed.
• This employee may be asked to perform any other delegated tasks related to the proper function of the Radiology Department.
