About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This is a full-time, weekend position working three 13-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM, located on the main campus and working with an adult patient population. New graduates and experienced technologists are welcome to apply. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are offered for full-time positions, though these are not applicable to current or recently employed VUMC staff.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Executes job responsibilities with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other areas related to own job area/team with occasional guidance.
