About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician. This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Duties and responsibilities, experience, qualifications, skills, supervisory relationship, physical/mental demands, and environmental/ working conditions may change as needs evolve.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area
Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others
Effective written and verbal communication
Stand or sit for extended periods of time
Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred

Responsibilities

Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
Maintains documentation of patient testing information
Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Other duties as assigned
