Radiologic Technologist Part-time EOW / Urgent Care - Hammonton
About The Position
Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist for their Urgent Care location in Hammonton. This role is responsible for administering ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic purposes, performing a wide variety of radiologic procedures, and operating radiographic equipment safely and responsibly. The technologist will support the Virtua Mission and Vision, adhering to all policies and procedures. The position involves every other weekend work and is classified as a regular, part-time employee on the 1st shift with a total of 8 weekly hours. New hires are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.)
- NJDEP licensure required.

- CPR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiologic procedures for all patient populations according to protocols established by the radiologist, while applying principles of radiation safety and protection at all times.
- Evaluates images with the goal of producing radiographic images of the highest diagnostic quality.
- Consistently provides thorough and accurate documentation. Obtains pertinent medical information prior to the procedure, reviews and verifies physicians’ orders. Documents correct side, LMP etc.
- Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of all radiographic equipment and computer systems such as RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW workstation and other hospital based computer or PC systems.
- Provides instruction to and assists in training new staff or student radiologic technologists.
