Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) certification
  • Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years radiology experience
  • IV Certification

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient procedure C-arm usage
  • Provide exceptional care
  • Complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform the function of an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting (may be required)
  • See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
  • Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
  • Pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
  • Navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • Stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time (may be expected).
