About The Position

American Family Care (AFC) is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality imaging while supporting clinical operations in an urgent care setting. The role combines diagnostic radiology with hands-on clinical support and administrative tasks. The technologist performs X-ray exams safely, collaborates with providers to support timely care, and may assist with medical assistant and medical receptionist duties when not performing imaging. The position involves a fast-paced work environment, exposure to radiation and biohazards, and expected evening, weekend, and float coverage.

Requirements

• ARRT certification as R.T. (R) in good standing.
• State Radiologic Technologist license where required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
• Flexible team player willing to cover medical assistant and medical receptionist duties.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of urgent care or ER imaging experience.
• Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology (X-ray) exams safely, following ALARA.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure timely care.
• Support urgent care operations by covering medical assistant duties when not performing imaging, including triage, labs, venipuncture, and wound care.
• Support medical receptionist tasks, including insurance verification, registration, and payment collection.
• Maintain equipment quality-control and compliance logs.
