About The Position

UW Health is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist – X-ray to perform a wide variety of imaging exams on patients of all age groups using various radiographic equipment. The role involves troubleshooting equipment, participating in quality assurance, and resolving issues with image processing and archiving systems. The technologist will make critical decisions to accommodate patient needs and may serve as a clinical instructor for training programs and participate in clinical research.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification Upon Hire
  • Wisconsin Radiological License Upon Hire
  • CPR certification within 3 months

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • 2 years of clinical experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups using a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
  • Make quick and highly technical decisions in order to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs and participate in the instruction of other technologists and visiting health care professionals.
  • May also participate in clinical research.
