About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology department at our Maplewood Clinic and Specialty Center in Maplewood, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm with a holiday rotation. The Specialty Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in multiple ambulatory settings and locations. Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The specialty radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures, surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general x-ray performed the ambulatory setting. Provides assist in the opening of the supplies/equipment for surgical and special procedure cases as well as responding to codes, trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • 0 to 1 Year performing radiology services
  • ARRT Certification/Registration
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • B.S./B.A.
  • 3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
  • Advanced Imaging modality certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient care standards
  • Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures

  • Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
  • Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
  • Participates as an active team member
  • Orients and mentors new employees and students
  • Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
  • Cleans and maintains rooms, equipment and supplies
  • Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
