About The Position

This is a contract position for a Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer in Bronx, NY. The role involves performing general diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment. The contract duration is 14 weeks, with a shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, requiring 37.5-40 hours per week. The position requires participation in weekend and holiday coverage.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of General Radiographer experience.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program.
• Active ARRT certification and registration required.
• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and anatomy.
• Ability to work evening/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Nice To Haves

• BLS certification.
• Prior hospital-based imaging experience.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently in high-volume settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures.
• Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure proper image quality, labeling, and patient identification.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow physician orders and imaging protocols.

• Provide patient education and instructions during imaging procedures.

• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required.
