Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer | Contract - RTDS
About The Position
This is a travel contract position for a Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer in Bronx, NY. The contract duration is 14 weeks, with a night shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, totaling 37.5–40 hours per week. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations, operating and maintaining radiology equipment, positioning patients, following safety protocols, documenting procedures, collaborating with healthcare teams, and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. The position requires working efficiently in a fast-paced overnight imaging environment and participating in weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Assistance with imaging equipment maintenance and departmental workflow is also expected.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of General Radiographer experience.
- Completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist training program.
- Current ARRT certification and registration required.
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices.
- Ability to work full-time night shifts.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment safely and accurately.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and imaging department standards.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
