About The Position
The radiologic technologist will work directly with the radiologist, surgeons and nurses to perform a variety of diagnostic radiology procedures that require judgment, ingenuity and radiation protection practices, while responding to any of the patient’s special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs. This position also provides a lead role for the coordination of procedures performed in the operating room services.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology Program.
- 1+ years of radiologic technologist experience in an Operating Room.
- Active New York State (NYS) Radiologic Technologist License.
- Active ARRT registration.
- Current BLS Certification (or obtained at time of hire)
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiographic & fluoroscopic exams safely and accurately according to established departmental protocols
- Provide excellent customer service, patient education, and radiation safety checks during all imaging procedures
- Maintain precise patient records across our Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS platforms
- Serve as a clinical supervisor and educator for imaging students rotating through our clinical settings
- Collaborate on workflow improvement projects, assist with patient transport, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain a clean, stocked imaging environment.
