About The Position

The ChristianaCare Aston Outpatient location is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist III. This role involves performing all duties of a level II Radiologic Technologist in an outpatient setting, acting as a content level expert of radiographic equipment, and demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting. The technologist will be competent to operate all modality units/manufacturers in the geographical area and float for CT/MR modalities. Additionally, they will be a content level expert of radiology supported computer systems, a PACS superuser, and proficient with CD burners. The role includes performing diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control, maintaining compliance with regulations, entering accurate patient study information, assisting with workflow coordination, obtaining clinical history, and ensuring patient confidentiality and proper identification.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a staff radiologic technologist and/or triple credentialed, triple practicing technologist.
  • Completion of a two-year program in Radiology Technology is required.
  • Mammography certified when applicable (achieved within two years of hire – when applicable).
  • Bone Dosimetry certification when applicable.
  • State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required.
  • CPR Certification.
  • An associate's degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
  • ARRT registered.
  • Delaware State License if applicable.
  • ARRT Mammography Registered if applicable - the successful completion of the Mammography Registration exam is a requirement for those performing mammography procedures. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all the duties of a level II Radiologic Technologist in the outpatient setting.
  • Act as a content level expert of radiographic equipment and possess knowledge and proficiency to troubleshoot.
  • Operate all modality units/manufacturers in the geographical area (all northern or southern).
  • Float for CT/MR modalities.
  • Be a content level expert of radiology supported computer systems, a PACS superuser, and proficient with CD burners.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses.
  • Comply with Joint Commission regulations.
  • Enter accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
  • Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
  • Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtain appropriate consent.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Always use 2-3 patient identifiers.
  • Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
