About The Position

This is a full-time night shift position for a Radiologic Technologist I at Dallas Regional Medical Center. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic and other procedures, operating CT scanners and X-ray machines, and ensuring image quality while maintaining radiation safety. The technologist will interact with patients, maintain accurate records, and must hold a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and maintain their ARRT registry status.

Requirements

  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • Appropriate national certifications in two modalities required (effective July 1, 2017)
  • Current BCLS (AHA)
  • Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
  • Proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Mammography Experience Required
  • One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Radiographic or other procedures according to department protocols
  • Ensure X-ray equipment is functioning properly and images meet quality standards
  • Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety
  • Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
  • Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of targeted body parts, optimizing image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Maintain radiation safety at all times
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Perform C-Arm for fluoroscopic imaging and understand fluoroscopy imaging techniques
  • Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Maintain register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
