About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Radiology Tech I will work under the supervision of the Supervisor. Performs general radiographic studies to established QA criteria. Produces radiographs and organizes images, completes required paperwork and charges. Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Assists with clerical duties. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.

Requirements

Work under the supervision of the Supervisor.
Perform general radiographic studies to established QA criteria.
Produce radiographs and organize images.
Complete required paperwork and charges.
Ensure patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.
Assist and instruct patients during examinations.
Assist with clerical duties.
Report all equipment malfunctions.
Clean and inspect equipment prior to use.
Evaluate each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
Report patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to QA policies.
Produce images, burn CD, organize paperwork and complete requisition data.
Work in other areas of the department such as: front office, etc.
Assist other modalities as time allows.

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic examinations in accordance to established protocols.
Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.
Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
Reports to outpatient supervisor equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to QA policies.
Responsible for producing images, burning CD and, organizing paperwork and completing requisition data.
Works in other areas of department such as: front office, etc.
Assists other modalities as time allows.
Other duties as assigned.
