About The Position

The Radiological Technologist specializes in the use of medical imaging to diagnose and treat patients. This includes assisting the physician in the performance of a variety of diagnostic/interventional cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures at a technical level using imaging for guidance including but not limited to fluoroscopy and angiography. This role performs procedures according to physician’s orders but requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Rad Tech assumes role of panner, scrubber, or control booth monitor as assigned. Rad Techs assume responsibility for working collaboratively with other members to ensure patient safely, well-being, and accurate delivery of care.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Graduate for an AMA accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist Licensure required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain prior to patient care.
  • Experience operating x-ray equipment and imaging related software
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work collaborative in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • ACLS required within a year.
  • Current license with the Arkansas State Medical Board and Registered through the Nation Board of Respiratory Care
  • Experience using an electronic health record
  • Continuous education and training in radiology advancements and techniques
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in a procedural area.
