About The Position

As an Imaging Student Extern, you will gain hands-on experience by learning from experienced team members and contributing to patient care during imaging. You will help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their imaging experience by preparing and assisting them, supporting safe patient transport, and helping maintain imaging rooms and supplies. You will communicate patient needs and concerns to technologists and the care team, participate in learning opportunities, and follow safety and confidentiality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, assisting with positioning, and communicating clearly and compassionately.
Safely transport patients between areas while supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures.
Set up imaging rooms, manage room turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
Communicate patient needs and concerns promptly to technologists and the care team.
Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards.
