About The Position

The PRN Tech Extender supports radiology patients and department workflow. The role provides direct patient care and assistance, helps technologists, nurses, and radiologists prepare for procedures, and performs departmental tasks to maintain a clean, stocked, safe, and coordinated environment. The position works PRN or as needed, 0–40 hours per week, with a stated schedule of 11 a.m.–11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), or obtain it within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year or associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families.
• Obtain vital signs and help patients with dressing and undressing.
• Transport or ambulate patients and help ensure their comfort.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and safe environment.
• Support technologists, nurses, and radiologists with patient preparation and questionnaires.
• Assist with patient positioning, verifying orders, and gathering required pre-procedure information.
• Perform data entry and coordinate patient flow.
• Adhere to radiation and MRI safety standards.
• Handle stocking, supply checks, room and equipment cleaning, CREED checklists, and errands.
• Respond to inquiries from clinicians, staff, and patients in person and by phone.
