Requirements

  • Associates Of Science
  • Graduate of a 2 year accredited school of Radiology Technology
  • One (1) year of current experience performing CT and Radiographic procedures in an emergency room setting, upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ, upon hire
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Produce diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
  • Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
  • Deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
  • Utilize good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
  • Independently perform CT and radiographic procedures at a technical level.
  • Ensure all CT and radiographic images are of diagnostic quality.
  • Display competency performing procedures; follow every step for taking an x-ray and CT scan (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc.).
  • Use proper technique to reduce patient exposure to radiation (ALARA).
  • Take all precautions necessary to ensure the patient's safety during procedures.
