Requirements

  • Proficiency in EPIC or equivalent electronic health record system.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple patients across different treatment stages.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to interface with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical support teams.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and data management skills.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical coordinator, patient navigator, or oncology direct patient care or support role.
  • Demonstrated experience with insurance verification, coordination or prior authorization and benefits verification.
  • Authorization experience with oncology biologics or specialty drugs (and amenable to training).
  • Experience with manufacturer patient assistance programs.
  • Knowledge of HCPCS/CPT coding for oncology and nuclear medicine services and amenable to training.

Responsibilities

  • The RLT Program Navigator is responsible for the operational coordination of the Radioligand Therapy program.
  • This role serves as the central point of contact for patient navigation, insurance authorization monitoring and communication, scheduling, lab monitoring, and interdepartmental communication across radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, medical oncology, and billing.
  • The navigator ensures patients move efficiently through the treatment pathway from referral through treatment completion, with minimal delays and maximum clinical and logistical support.
  • This position works directly with the prescribing physician, nurse practitioner, nuclear medicine team, and billing department to ensure smooth program operations.
  • This position reports to the Chief Physicist and Director of Radiation Oncology.
