About The Position

UCHealth is hiring a Radiography Technologist Traveler for Echocardiography at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This full-time role is scheduled for 72 hours per two-week pay period on a flexible shift. Pay is $36.00 per hour plus a travel package or stipend. Local traveler contract options are available to candidates who live within 75 miles, and 13-week assignments are available. The technologist provides direct patient care by performing imaging and radiologic procedures. The role emphasizes a multidisciplinary team approach, exceptional patient outcomes, safe and high-quality care, and proficiency in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. The technologist also helps onboard and support colleagues new to imaging or UCHealth.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
One year of experience.
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Specialty ARRT certification(s), if required for the position.
State licensure, if required by law.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
BLS card must be in hand before the start date and remain valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care by performing imaging and radiologic procedures within the scope of practice.
Review patient history and initiate radiographic images based on physician orders.
Prioritize procedural patient education to support mutual understanding and cooperation.
Safely administer contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring the patient's condition.
Respond to and report changes in patient condition as appropriate.
Use established radiology best practices to produce clear images and maintain image quality and equipment functionality.
Contribute to patient safety and quality of care.
Precept or support colleagues who are new to imaging or UCHealth.
