About The Position

Sacred Heart University, a growing private doctoral institution and a national leader in higher education, is seeking an adjunct faculty member for its associate degree radiography program. The position will focus on image production and acquisition and is available for the Fall 2025 semester. The candidate will teach didactic courses in both traditional and online settings, develop instructional units, assess student learning, and utilize various teaching strategies. Responsibilities also include providing feedback to students, advising them on academic and clinical matters, and maintaining student records. Requirements

  • Current ARRT® certification and registration in Radiography (R)
  • Current State of Connecticut Radiographer license
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in the profession

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • The ideal candidate will be multi-credentialed in radiography and computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR), and/or mammography (M)
  • Prior experience in teaching at the college level
  • Proficient use of an online course management system is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach didactic course(s) in a traditional and online setting
  • Develop and facilitate instructional units and assessment of student learning
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students
  • Use of course management system (Blackboard Ultra)
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students and assist students by appointment
  • Advise students in matters related to academics, clinical progress, attendance, and behaviors
  • Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies
