The Radiographer performs diagnostic radiologic examinations and assists physicians with radiologic procedures. This role involves performing and documenting diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider, ensuring appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. The Radiographer will also analyze radiographic examinations for quality control, prepare completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist, and operate all radiographic equipment and facility-based computer systems. Additionally, the role includes administering oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of a physician or per protocol, safely transporting, moving, and positioning patients, assisting physicians with special procedures involving radiography, and participating in quality assurance activities within the Imaging Department.
