About The Position

The Radiographer performs diagnostic radiologic examinations and assists physicians with radiologic procedures. This role involves performing and documenting diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider, ensuring appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. The Radiographer analyzes radiographic examinations for quality control, prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist, and operates all radiographic equipment and facility-based computer systems. Additionally, they administer oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of a physician or per protocol, transport, move, and position patients safely and appropriately, and assist physicians with special procedures involving radiography. Participation in quality assurance activities related to radiographic care within the Imaging Department is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required.
  • Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
  • Annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count.
  • Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
