About The Position

The Radiographer performs diagnostic radiologic examinations and assists physicians with radiologic procedures. This role involves performing and documenting diagnostic radiographic examinations ordered by an approved healthcare provider, ensuring proper handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. The Radiographer is responsible for analyzing radiographic examinations for quality control, preparing completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist, and operating all radiographic equipment and facility-based computer systems. Additionally, the role includes administering oral and intravenous contrast media under physician direction or per protocol, safely transporting, moving, and positioning patients, assisting physicians with special procedures involving radiography, and participating in quality assurance activities related to radiographic care within the Imaging Department.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required.
  • Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
  • Annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count.
  • Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
