About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking an enthusiastic RF Test & Evaluation Lab Tech in Tukwila, WA. This position offers the chance to work with an experienced, interdisciplinary, and multi-organizational team to create innovative solutions for unique and challenging requirements in a laboratory environment. The team translates program requirements into full-scale laboratory tests. This technician will support the team in setting up, testing, verifying, and validating cutting-edge low observable technologies. The role requires a background in general laboratory skills, mechanical skills, knowledge of RF equipment, strong technical judgment, and the ability to make and contribute to decisions that balance the overall test program. Strong collaboration skills are essential for working with the interdisciplinary and multi-organizational team to complete test programs that meet customer requirements. Organizational skills and adaptability are needed to thrive in a fast-paced and continually changing environment. The successful candidate will have experience with high-power electrical systems, RF electronics, laboratory test equipment, wiring and connectors, mechanical equipment, drawing interpretation (Visio), and data acquisition systems. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Pre-Start is required
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only
  • Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience
  • Experience working in an electrical lab as a designer or technician
  • 1+ years of experience working in laboratories focused on development of electronic components and systems
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active US Security Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
  • More than the minimum experience working in electronics development laboratories
  • Experience with laboratory administration
  • Experience with laboratory testing of state-of-the-art digital, analog/mixed-signal, and/or RF integrated circuits
  • Experience with laboratory testing of antennas and/or RF/microwave/electro-optical components
  • Experience supporting military radar, communications, electronic warfare, or avionics/mission processor program

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
  • Conduct system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
  • Coaches and trains others
  • Operates cranes and powered industrial trucks (boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.)
  • Works under general direction
