About The Position

Boeing has an exciting opportunity for an Experimental Radio Frequency (RF) & Microwave Technician to join our team in Tukwila, WA. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.) This position is for 1st shift, however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives. This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement. Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience using electronic test equipment such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the field of RF/Microwave electronics design and RF/Microwave tests.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, assemble, and maintain new and existing shop aids for testing and troubleshooting experimental aircraft electronics systems, subsystems, and associated wiring.
  • Inspect test equipment prior to use to ensure proper operation and FAA certification requirements are met, utilizing test equipment manuals, check sheets and self-test procedures.
  • Perform tests using various computer systems and general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types), as required.
  • Install, remove, and modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using various mechanical and electrical hand tools to bring wiring to engineering specifications per nonconformance reports, and BAC specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults, as required.
  • Install, repair, and modify various types of radar systems on experimental and production aircraft and in the lab.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and calibrate, as required.
  • Install, repair, and modify of various types of navigational systems on experimental and production aircraft and in the lab.
  • Install, test, and evaluate aircraft software programs to determine system reliability and compatibility, as well as compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Assist in the development, method, and procedures to diagnose and correct malfunctions when methods and procedures have not been established.
  • Communicate with other departments, as required, to obtain necessary assistance with problem resolution.
