About The Position
The Radiation Therapy Technologist Per Diem works in Radiation Oncology, performing radiation therapy simulation and delivering high-energy ionizing radiation treatment to patients with proven malignancy. The role requires providing appropriate care across the patient life cycle, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiation oncology technology training program.
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiation therapy.
- Current New Jersey State Radiation Therapy Technology license.
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiation therapy simulation.
- Deliver high-energy ionizing radiation treatment to patients with proven malignancy.
- Provide care appropriate to patients’ ages and stages of growth and development, from neonates through geriatrics.
