Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology – Per Diem
About The Position
As a per diem Radiation Therapist at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, you will work with Radiation Oncologists to deliver radiation therapy to patients in our world-class environment. Using age competency skills, you will communicate essential information to patients and family members which enables the patient to complete their course of therapy. This is a per diem day shift position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Requirements
- Graduate of American Management Association (AMA) approved Radiation Therapy Technology program
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience in all areas of radiation therapy including brachytherapy, immobilization fabrication
- Experience with clinical set-ups and contours
Responsibilities
- Provide a planned course of radiation therapy treatment to patients as prescribed by a physician, always ensuring patient safety and care.
- Work with Radiation Oncologists to deliver radiation therapy to patients.
- Communicate essential information to patients and family members which enables the patient to complete their course of therapy.
